About Us

John Mauk is the Founder and Principal of Brandywine Development Group, a retail real estate development company focused on the acquisition, entitlement, development, and execution of retail projects throughout the Southeastern United States.

With more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate and retail development, John specializes in single-tenant net lease development, build-to-suit projects, outparcel development, and retail redevelopment for national and regional retailers. He has extensive experience managing projects from initial site selection and contract negotiation through due diligence, entitlement, permitting, construction coordination, and final disposition.

John is also a development partner with Track West, where he works alongside national retailers and development teams on retail expansion and site execution strategies across multiple markets throughout the Southeast.

John has developed relationships with national retail and automotive service operators and has become known for identifying strong retail locations and solving complex entitlement and development challenges in both primary and secondary growth markets.

John works closely with retailers, brokers, landowners, municipalities, engineers, contractors, and capital partners to create high-quality retail developments that generate long-term value for all parties involved. His hands on approach and deep understanding of the development process allows him to efficiently execute projects from concept through completion.

Based in the Atlanta area, John remains actively involved in every stage of the development process and continues to focus on expanding the retail development platform throughout the Southeastern United States.
